On a beautiful Tuesday, June 25th, our supplier partner, Dr’s Choice Optical Lab, officially opened the doors to their brand new lab right here in Trenton at 37 Gotha Street! This was not just a grand opening – it’s a big leap forward in how working closely together, we can bring exceptional eyewear to our patients.

The build-up to the big day
The new lab represents the final stage of hard work from a two-year construction project to expand the business, featuring brand-new, cutting-edge robotic assembly lines that turbocharge the precision, quality, and speed of making lenses for glasses and sunglasses. This enables us to enhance our patients’ experience across our Brighton, Trenton, and Belleville clinics.
With a boost from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF), this expansion isn’t just about improving technology but about creating jobs in our community. All of this combined called for a big celebration!
A wonderful day of celebrating
The grand opening was fantastic! We were fortunate to have people from all over joining us and the team at Dr’s Choice Optical. This included local VIPs like MPP Todd Smith and Mayor Jim Harrison, friends from Quinte West Chamber of Commerce and Quinte Economic Development, members of the community, and our fantastic staff across all four of our clinics. It truly was a full house!
We can’t thank those who attended enough for a lovely evening filled with laughter, great food and drinks, and a real sense of community spirit.
