If you are using health insurance benefits to pay for your optometry services, we can now bill your insurance company directly. This way you pay much less up front for your eyecare, glasses or contact lenses because we electronically submit your claim and get paid directly by your insurer.

What to Expect When Billing Direct?

The greatest benefit of direct billing to your insurance company is the time saved. We send your bill directly and immediately so you can be reimbursed for any in-office expenses just as quickly. Also, if your insurance company is offering any special promotions, this allows you to take advantage of those thanks to speedy billing. This process also cuts out the amount of paperwork you would have to deal with otherwise.

What to Expect When Billing Direct

If you want to take advantage of this opportunity to directly bill your insurance company during your next appointment, make sure to bring along certain information. You will need your photo ID, such as a driver’s license. You will also need to bring your health insurance card featuring your policy number. If your card does not include your member ID, make sure to bring that along as well. If you are at an appointment for one of your family members, such as your child, and you want to file for direct billing, you will need to bring their member ID number as well. If they have a different health insurance card, please have that with you during the appointment.
